By Smart Little Lena, the industry’s first Triple Crown Champion and all time leading sire of cutting horses, Lightning Lil Dulce boasts one of the only maternal lines that can stand up to  her illustrious sire.

Her dam, Little Badger Dulce is arguably the best Cutting bred mare to ever draw a breath.  She was bred by the King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas, and went on to become one the greatest show horses in the modern era and was 1993 NCHA horse of the year. She is the 2^nd highest NCHA all time money earning mare, and the 5^th highest NCHA all-time money. Showing remarkable consistency and durability, she won 13 major championships, including but not limited to:

·        1992 NCHA Futurity Reserve Champion

·        1993 Bonanza Champion

·        1993 NCHA Super Stakes Champion

·        1994 NCHA Super Stakes Classic Reserve Champion

·        1995 NCHA Super Stakes Classic/Challenge Reserve Champion

Dulce marked a 227 (a mark very few horses achieve) to win at least three different major championships, 1994 Gold Coast Futurity, 1995 Augusta Classic, and 1995 Abilene Spectacular Classic.

Little Badger Dulce is the full sister of Dulces Smart Lena (LTE 175,190).  With Phil Rapp in the saddle, Dulces Smart Lena won the 2002 Augusta and Memphis Futurities back to back, was a finalist in the 2001 NCHA Futurity, Open Reserve Champion of the 2002 NCHA Super Stakes and Brazos Bash and a finalist in the Music City Futurity 4- year old division.

Lightning is also the producer of Lectric Brakes (LTE in excess of $106,000), also ridden by Phil Rapp. Lectric Brakes was a finalist in the NCHA Futurity Open; 5^th at the PCCHA Derby Open and 3^rd, Non-Pro, 3^rd AQHA World Championship.

Lectric Brakin, a full brother to Lectric Brakes, was purchased during the 2006 Futurity 2 year old in training sale by Skip and Elizabeth Queen. 

Highlightning, a 2005 colt by High Brow Cat was sold for $60,000 at the Yearling Invitational Sale at the 2006 Futurity.
